Susan B. Anthony Nomination
The recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Award is recognized for her passion, courage and leadership to impact the lives of others.
Susan B. Anthony was a woman who displayed each of these attributes through her courage, passion and leadership to impact a movement giving all women a voice and the right Vote! We must remain courageous and vocal towards creating our desired legacy with a blazing path!

My name is Donna Ferguson. I was born in Port Jefferson, New York and raised in the small town of Poultney, Vermont. I currently reside in Clermont, Florida. I came to Florida via route of GA, NH, VT and MA. I am the 4th of 5 siblings. I have been blessed with 3 amazing girls, whom I adore, Taliah(13), Bianca(10) and Azaria(1)!
In the field of education, I have 25 years of experience. I earned my Degree in Early Childhood Education from Champlain College of Burlington, Vermont. From there, I relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where I started a family. I am currently the Academic Director for a private Preschool in Windermere, Florida.
Aside from spending time with my family, I love calligraphy and photography and helping others. I serve at my place of worship in the children’s ministry, I am a private consultant with APPLE accreditation and also own my own business which allows me to enrich women’s lives in many ways.
Shydonna Tossie
Shydonna Tossie is a graduate of Valdosta State University. She has a Bachelors of Science in Exceptional Student Education. At an early age she knew she wanted to help others, and to this day she continues to mentor teens, children, and adults in her community.
She finds joy in serving others and making an impact on her community in a variety of ways, and without her we’d all be in trouble.
Shydonna Tossie is the Director of The Ampersand School located in Longwood, FL.
“I believe that it is our responsibility as educators to bring out the best in every child, that teachers are the hardest working people that I know, and that supportive and involved parents make a school even better.”
She encourages her students to pursue their passions and challenges them to explore opportunities outside of their comfort zones.
Shydonna also serves on the Board of Directors for Worship Leader's Association International, An organization that
provides an atmosphere where worship leaders can be developed, empowered and refreshed on a regular basis.
She has the opportunity to travel, sing, and develop worship leaders around the world.

Andrea Clemens
Andrea is a member of the speaker's bureau for S.E.S.A.M.E., a national organization dedicated to preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment of students by teachers and school staff. She has also recently joined the ranks as an instructor with the non-profit organization, KidSafe. Andrea is thrilled to educate parents, mentors, and teachers about different ways to protect our kids from abuse. Andrea received her master's degree from Boston University in clinical social work and has spent the majority of her career working in higher education. For the past ten years, she has been speaking with students, teachers, parenting groups, and others, educating them about educator sexual abuse through sharing her story.
Andrea continues to invest time and energy ensuring schools can be safe environments for our children - free from harassment and abuse.
